Ilan Vaknin

Ilan Vaknin serves as the Vice President of Research and Development at Chemomab Therapeutics since June 2022, bringing two decades of experience in academia and biotechnology. Previously, Ilan held roles at Compugen Ltd. as a Team Leader focusing on immuno-oncology assay development and validation, as well as a Senior Scientist. Prior experience includes serving as Head of R&D at Active P, where Ilan led the development of novel oral peptide drugs, and as an external consultant for the Weizmann Institute of Science, specializing in R&D collaborations. Ilan has also worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the Milken Institute, concentrating on financial innovations in Israeli medical solutions. Educational qualifications include a post-doctoral fellowship in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a PhD in Immunology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
