Juan Forero

Juan Forero has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Juan started their career at Sapient in 2006 where they worked in networking until 2008. After that, they joined GG Network Solutions as a Manager from April 2008 to June 2009. Juan then moved on to peer1 as a Data Center Administrator from June 2009 to June 2012. Following this, they joined AvMed as a Senior System Engineer from July 2012 to June 2015 and later became the Lead Security Engineer at the same company from June 2015 to September 2018. Currently, Juan Forero is serving as a Sr. Security Engineer at Compuquip Cybersecurity, where they started in September 2018.

Juan Forero earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Colorado Technical University, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Military Science and Operational Studies from Colombia Escuela Militar de cadetes between 1984 and 1988.

In addition to their formal education, Juan Forero has obtained several certifications. Juan became a CloudGuard IaaS Specialist - Public Cloud Administrator through Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. in January 2019. In December 2014, they earned the VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV) certification as well as the VMware Certified Professional 5 certification from VMware. Juan also holds the Check Point Certified Security Administrator R80 certification, although the specific date of obtaining it is not known.
