Michael Davidson

Michael Davidson, CISSP, has over 20 years of work experience in the field of information security. Michael started their career in 1991 as a Unisys 2200 Systems Operator, where they operated a mainframe computer and troubleshooted communication problems. Michael then worked as a Computer Operator and Assistant Crew Manager for the US Air Force, overseeing daily operations of mainframe computer equipment and ensuring system efficiency. Additionally, they served as a Space Communications Senior Systems Operator, managing communications and computer resources valued at $400M and providing configuration management for over 524 mission supports.

In 2000, Michael transitioned to a role as a Tactical LAN/WAN Lead Technician, responsible for the maintenance and operation of network systems. Michael then became a Network Management Analyst and later a Manager for Air Force Network Security Policy, where they developed and implemented network security policies. From 2008 to 2011, they served as the Manager of AF Computer Security Policy.

In 2011, Michael joined Cyber Security Research and Solutions as a Senior Information Assurance Analyst, providing IA and Interoperability assessment support to the United States Transportation Command. Michael also assisted exercise planners with the development of master scenario lists and identified assessment focus areas.

In 2014, Michael joined Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) as an Information System Security Officer and Help Desk Technician. In this role, they were responsible for the certification and accreditation process for the Telecommunications Certification Office Support System. Michael performed regular configuration compliance scans and analyzed vulnerability scan results to determine false positives and compliance issues. Additionally, they processed user account requests and provided support to users with access issues.

Michael Davidson, CISSP has an extensive education history in the field of information technology. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology from the same institution between 2009 and 2011. Additionally, they hold an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Information Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, which they completed from 2005 to 2007.
