Julia Specht

Julia Specht has held a variety of positions since 2011. Julia began as a Tutor and Transcriber at the MIT Media Lab in 2011. From 2012-2013, they worked as a Research Assistant at NIOST, Wellesley Centers for Women and as a Childcare Worker (CBAT) and IRTP Intern at Walker. In 2013, they were a Marketing Assistant and Personal Assistant to the CEO at Endeavour Partners. Julia also worked as a Project Coordinator at silverthread, inc. in 2014. From 2014-2015, they were a Junior Copywriter at JTS Communications, Inc. and a Copywriter at Pel & Sullivan. From 2015-2017, Julia worked as a Marketing & PR at Comrex Corporation, where they worked with a team to develop branding for advertising campaigns, wrote thought leadership, advertorial, and customer reports for industry-specific trade publications, wrote and distributed press releases, facilitated PR engagements, developed and distributed PR materials, developed promotion strategy for trade shows and other events, and managed social media. Finally, they have been a Playwright at Ensemble Studio Theatre since 2017.

Julia Specht has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Fiction from Hunter College, which they obtained between 2019 and 2021. Julia also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Wellesley College, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. In 2011, they attended University College London for Greek and Latin.
