Athena Hess

Athena Hess serves as ComSonics’ Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she directs and oversees all strategic and financial activities of the corporation. She also oversees the company’s information and telephone systems and networks. She evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions. Athena provides calculated financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. Her focus is to develop effective, workable solutions to business challenges. Athena has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting and manufacturing environments serving the Cable Television Industry. She began her career at Brown Edwards & Company (formerly S.B. Hoover & Company) where she was an Auditor focusing on non-profits, cooperatives, and a large fortune 500 Company. She joined ComSonics as the Corporate Controller in 2004, and was later promoted to Director of Finance, and eventually to the CFO. Athena is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
