Paul Schwartz joined Comstock Holding Companies®, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHCI) (“Comstock” or “Company”) in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources. In this position, Mr. Schwartz serves as an Executive HR leader responsible for overseeing the human resources department and serving as a strategic partner, with respect to the development of the organization’s plans and programs. He possesses a strong background in utilizing technology and strategic planning to streamline HR processes that align with corporate objectives.
Prior to joining Comstock, Mr. Schwartz led the HR team from 2018 to 2022 at Gates Hudson, a third-party property management firm based in Fairfax, VA. At Gates Hudson, he developed and executed a new talent acquisition strategy that resulted in a significant reduction of overall open requisitions (from 80 open positions to 30). In his role at Gates Hudson, he was also responsible for implementing a leave policy and a comprehensive benefit strategy focused on improving retention.
Prior to Gates Hudson, Mr. Schwartz worked for companies primarily in the government contracting industry, including SENTEL Corporation (acquired by Vectrus) and AI Solutions, where he gained broad experience in all Human Resource functions. Mr. Schwartz began his career with PRO-telligent (acquired by Tetra Tech), where he worked as an HR Project Manager from 2009 – 2013.
Mr. Schwartz attended Roanoke College, where he graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He also earned a Master of Science in Human Resources and Employment Relations from Pennsylvania State University in 2008 and is PHR and SHRM-CP certified.
