Bill Lanza has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Bill started their career in the US Navy, where they served as a Surface Warfare Officer, managing operations and personnel on a naval frigate. Bill then transitioned to a role as an Education Technician/Substitute Teacher at Roosevelt Roads Elementary School, where they provided instruction in reading, math, and computers.

After their time in the Navy, Bill worked as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy Reserve, where they developed and implemented training programs for Naval Reserve personnel.

Bill's career then shifted towards software development. Bill worked as a Software Developer at Aurion Technologies, where they developed and maintained web-based applications for remote gas and oil devices. Bill then moved on to Remote Solutions, Inc as a Software Developer, working on web-based reporting and gathering systems for oil and gas well production.

In 2002, Bill joined Alliance Data as a Senior Developer, specializing in web and batch applications for utility providers. Bill was responsible for developing systems for product enrollment, billing, and usage processing.

In 2005, Bill joined Comtech Telecommunications Corp as a Principal Software Developer. In this role, they worked on various Windows, Linux, and web-based applications, with a focus on 911 emergency monitoring and call-handling systems. Bill also managed a team of developers and researched new technologies for system software.

Throughout their career, Bill has utilized a range of programming languages including Java, C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.

Bill Lanza completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Boston College from 1981 to 1985. Bill then pursued graduate level coursework in Engineering Mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas from 1997 to 1998. Currently, they are working towards a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning, at the Georgia Institute of Technology, anticipated to be completed from 2020 to 2023.
