Celia Cranfield has a diverse work experience in advocacy, policy, and coordination roles. Celia is currently working as the Head of Advocacy at CONCORD since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Policy and Advocacy Coordinator at CONCORD from September 2020 to September 2022. Celia also worked at VOICE EU, where they held the positions of Senior Advocacy Officer from January 2018 to September 2020 and Advocacy and Communication Officer from February 2014 to January 2018. Celia gained experience in policy work during their role as the Irish EU Presidency Policy Officer, External Relations at the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the EU from September 2012 to June 2013. Celia also worked as the EU Advocacy/Liaison Officer at Light For The World - development NGO from December 2007 to September 2012. Celia started their career as an intern in the Human Rights Unit, Political Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland from September 2005 to August 2006. Additionally, Celia worked as the Chargee de mission for the Luxembourg EU Presidency at the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, Representation to the PSC, Brussels from November 2004 to August 2005.
Celia Cranfield completed their education with a European Baccalaureate from the European School in Luxembourg. Celia then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science at Trinity College Dublin from the year 2000 until 2004. Following that, Celia attended SOAS University of London from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree specializing in Human Rights Law.
