Robert B. Mason has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Robert B. started their career in 1992 as a Lab Chemist at Purepac Pharmaceutical Co, where they conducted chemical analysis and assisted in lab maintenance. In 1995, they joined OM Group as a Technical Service Chemist, responsible for technical service, research, and development of electroless nickel processes. Robert B. eventually worked in all five divisions of OMG-Fidelity and supported clients through laboratory activities.
In 2001, Mason transitioned to Concurrent Technologies Corporation, where they held various roles over the years. Robert B. served as a Materials Engineer, Project Manager, and Researcher from 2001 to 2004, followed by a position as a Senior Materials and Process Scientist from 2004 to 2005. From 2006 to 2011, they became a Manager of Materials Technologies, providing support for engineers engaged in tactical communications efforts and facilities management for the U.S. Special Operations Command.
Since 2014, Mason has pursued their passion for music as a Principal Music Instructor at Creative Keys, teaching various instruments and music theory. Additionally, in the same year, they became a Technical Director and Board Member at Florida Finishers Corporation.
Throughout their career, Mason has demonstrated expertise in materials science, project management, research, and technical support across different industries.
Robert B. Mason, CEF, PMP, ACG completed their Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry with a minor in music at Fairleigh Dickinson University from 1984 to 1988. In 2003, they obtained a Certificate in Corrosion from Penn State University.
In addition to their formal education, Robert has achieved several certifications. Robert B. earned a Certificate of Completion from ESTCP-Slipstream in September 2022. Robert B. obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2015. Robert is also a Certified Electroplater Finisher (CEF) accredited by AESF / NASF since April 1997. Furthermore, they are a Corrosion Technologist certified by NACE International, The Worldwide Corrosion Authority, since July 2013.
