Steven Benedetti

Steven Benedetti has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Steven started their career in 1980 as an Area Exploration Geologist at Union Oil Company of California. Steven then worked at Unocal for several years in various roles, including District Exploration Geologist and Regional Manager of Development Geology in the period from 1984 to 1990.

In 1990, they joined Unocal Netherlands as an Exploration Manager until 1994, when they became the Country Manager for Venezuela until 1997. Steven then served as the Country Manager for Argentina until 2000.

From 2000 to 2002, Steven worked as the Vice President at Samson International. Steven then joined Petrominerales in 2004 and served as their Vice President until 2007.

In 2008, they joined Petro Vista Energy as the Vice President and later became the Acting President and CEO until 2012.

Steven then worked at Interoil Peru S.A. as the General Manager from 2013 to 2014.

In 2015, they briefly served as the Exploration Manager at West Indies Energy Group.

Currently, they are the Owner/President of Southern Cone Energy Consultants, LLC, which specializes in upstream oil and gas ventures in South America.

Steven Benedetti completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Idaho State University, where they attended from 1968 to 1974. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Geology/Earth Science, General from Texas Christian University, graduating between 1974 and 1976.
