Lisa Cook

Lisa Cook has a varied work experience, starting in 2005 as a Team Manager at Friends Provident, where they managed a team of customer service agents. Lisa then moved on to Claims Advisory Group as an Administration Team Leader, responsible for managing a team of administrators and handling customer complaints.

In 2010, Lisa became a Helpline Team Leader at First Choice Homes Oldham, where they managed a team of community alarm operators and ensured accurate information in the client database. Lisa then worked at N Brown Group as an Enterprise Knowledge Manager, where they managed knowledge portals and maintained brand voice in customer service written communications.

Lisa's technical writing career began in 2019 at CDL Software, where they worked as a Technical Author, creating user guides and documentation for software delivery. Lisa continued their technical writing roles at Axiell Group and Simply-Writing, before joining Conferma Pay in 2021. At Conferma Pay, Lisa has held the positions of Technical Writer, Senior Technical Writer, and currently serves as the Head of Technical Communications.

Throughout their work experience, Lisa has gained expertise in understanding highly technical information and delivering it in an easy-to-digest format for audiences with varying technical knowledge. Lisa Cook pursued their education at The Open University, starting in 2011 and graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Humanities with English Language. Lisa then returned to The Open University in 2021 to pursue a degree in Computing and IT, with a focus on Computer Science. Lisa is expected to complete this program in 2025.
