Jorge Antonio Shimabuku Chávez has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years.
Jorge Antonio started their career as a Trainee at Eli Lilly and Company in 2006, where they focused on maintaining the Incentive system for pharmaceutical sales representatives and preparing users to use new systems.
From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at UNIVERSIDAD DE LIMA, where they analyzed, developed, and tested application systems used at the university in various departments such as accounting, logistics, human resources, and business intelligence. Jorge Antonio also worked on data modeling and SQL tuning.
In 2013, they joined Mexx Canada Company as a Programmer Analyst, where they focused on analyzing, developing, and testing application systems. Jorge Antonio also worked on developing ETL packages using SSIS, BI objects, and reports in Microstrategy. Additionally, they were involved in database design and SQL tuning.
In 2015, Jorge joined Gemmar Systems International Inc. (GSI) as a Programmer, where they were responsible for developing and testing application systems in C#, Cobol, and Visual Basic. Jorge Antonio also customized the Retail-1 system for different clients and migrated reports from Cobol to Crystal Reports.
Most recently, they worked at Confluence starting from 2017 as a .Net Developer. Their main responsibilities included analyzing, developing, and testing application systems in ASP. NET Web API and WinForms. Jorge Antonio also designed and developed ETL packages using SSIS.
Throughout their career, Jorge has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages and tools, as well as experience in data modeling, database design, and SQL tuning.
Jorge Antonio Shimabuku Chávez completed their Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering at Universidad de Lima from 1999 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications. In November 2017, they completed a course on "Développement en Technologies Mobiles sous iPhone/iPad" at Collège de Maisonneuve. In November 2019, they completed the "Introduction to Python" course offered by DataCamp. Continuing their professional development, in October 2021, they obtained the certification for "Amazon Web Services" from CEGEP - John Abbott College. In July 2022, they completed the "Terraform for AWS" course on Udemy. Furthermore, in November 2022, they obtained the "Introduction to React" certification from Vanier College. Lastly, in May 2023, they obtained the "Microsoft Azure" certification from CEGEP - John Abbott College.
