Magdalene Ramiah

Magdalene Ramiah has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Magdalene'smost recent role was as a Senior Human Resource Business Partner at Confluence, where they started in June 2020 and is currently employed. Prior to that, they served as an HR Manager - South Africa & Australia at Confluence from May 2019 to May 2020. Before joining Confluence, Magdalene worked as an HR Manager - Contract at JP Markets from July 2018 to May 2019. Magdalene was responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, managing employee relations, overseeing recruitment, and maintaining payroll processes. Magdalene also served as an HR Business Partner at SAOTA from June 2017 to June 2018 and as an HR Manager at Century City Conference Centre from January 2016 to June 2017. Magdalene started their career as an Assistant Manager HR at Westin Hotels & Resorts in January 2015 and later took on the role of HR Executive - Training from June to December 2014. Prior to that, Magdalene worked at Brandhouse Beverages (Pty) Ltd in various roles such as Resourcing Manager, HR Advisor, and HR Administrator from June 2008 to May 2014. Magdalene started their career as a Receptionist at Diageo from January 2006 to May 2008.

Magdalene Ramiah completed their National Diploma in Public Relations Management from Durban University of Technology between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that, they attended Isipingo Secondary School from 1998 to 2002, where they received their Matriculation qualification. In addition to their formal education, Magdalene obtained a certification as a Starwood Next Gen Service Culture Champion from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. in August 2014.
