Jeff Kogl

VP, Business Development at ConforMIS

Mr. Kogl has served as our Vice President, Business Development since November 2019. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate portfolio strategy, business development, and market development. In his current role, Mr. Kogl is responsible for investor relations, and for developing and implementing the sales and marketing strategy for Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) accounts.

Prior to joining Conformis, he served as SVP, Corporate Development & Strategy for two years at Vyaire Medical, an $800 million respiratory business that was formed when Becton Dickinson sold its mechanical ventilation products, respiratory diagnostic solutions, and associated consumable products to Apax Partners. At Vyaire Medical, Mr. Kogl managed the overall strategic planning process, and led all corporate development activities, including due diligence, contract negotiations, and integration planning.

Directly prior to Vyaire Medical, Mr. Kogl served as VP, Business Development & Strategy at Entellius Medical, where he managed the company’s strategic planning process, analyzed adjacent market segments for market entry, and coordinated the company’s business development initiatives. Before this, he served as VP, Strategy & Corporate Development at Tornier, Inc, which offers products to treat orthopedic conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. There, he led the strategic planning process and served as a lead team member behind the 2015 merger with Wright Medical in 2015. Prior to Tornier, Mr. Kogl served at Medtronic, Inc. for nine years, progressing to Senior Director, Corporate Portfolio Strategy. In that role, he developed an overall assessment framework to consistently characterize the intrinsic and synergistic value of Medtronic’s portfolio of businesses. He was also responsible for the commercialization strategies for three emerging businesses, including conducting primary and second market research, establishing surgeon advisory panels, and developing early sales and distribution strategies for U.S. and Western European geographies.

Mr. Kogl earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Minnesota’s Curtis L. Carlson School of Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stanford University.
