Scott Kurtzweil has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Scott is currently working at Conn-Selmer, Inc. as the Category Manager for Product Development for Clarinets & Woodwind Accessories. Prior to that, they owned their own company called Kurtzweil Musical LLC, where they provided product and marketing consultation to various corporations in the music industry. Scott also served as an Instructor of Clarinet and Saxophone at Southwestern Michigan College and Lake Michigan College. Additionally, they were the Principal Clarinetist at LaPorte Symphony Orchestra. Scott has also worked as a Teaching Artist at Buchanan Community Schools. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Conn-Selmer, Inc. as the Director of Marketing for Clarinets / Dbl Reeds and at Woodwind & Brasswind as the Woodwind & Marching Arts Product Marketing Manager. Scott started their career as an Instructor of Clarinet at the University of Notre Dame. Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated expertise in product development, marketing, and teaching within the music industry.
Scott Kurtzweil received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music from Western Michigan University, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Music at the University of Maryland, studying there from 1995 to 1996.
