Wayne Bennett

Wayne Bennett has a diverse work experience in the music industry and education. Wayne has worked as a Director & Trumpet player at Gate City Brass since 2017. Wayne Bennett has an extensive education history in music. Wayne earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Music in Performance, Trumpet at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2002 to 2004. Wayne continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance, Trumpet from 2004 to 2013.

In addition to their music education, Wayne Bennett also holds several certifications in instructional design and teaching. Wayne obtained certifications in Instructional Design: Working with SMEs, Elearning Essentials: Storyboarding, Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID, Instructional Design: Adult Learners, Instructional Design: Creating Video Training, and Instructional Design: Needs Analysis from LinkedIn in May and June of 2022. Wayne also received a certification in Mastering Online Teaching: Fundamentals of Course Design and Delivery from Badgr (now part of Instructure) in July 2020. Furthermore, they hold a certification in Adult CPR/AED, Pediatric CPR, and First Aid, obtained from the American Red Cross in April 2017.
