Katie Salen

Katie Salen began their work experience in 1992 as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. Katie then moved on to become an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin from 1996 to 2001. In 2007, Salen became the Executive Director of the Institute of Play until 2013. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Professor in the School of Design at DePaul University. Currently, Salen is serving as the Chief Designer at Connected Camps, where they have been since 2015.

Katie Salen completed their Bachelor's Degree in Design and Visual Communications, General at The University of Texas at Austin from 1986 to 1990. Katie then pursued further education at the Rhode Island School of Design, where they obtained a Masters of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from 1990 to 1992.
