Graham Smith

Graham Smith currently serves as the Strategic Director for Climate Finance and Sustainability at Connected Places Catapult, a position held since December 2023. Previously, Graham held the role of ESG Director at KPMG, focusing on supporting the Financial Services industry in its transition to Green and Sustainable finance from September 2021 to September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Green Finance Expert in Arup Advisory Services, where Graham established a Sustainable Finance business, and as Director at HSBC, leading the Sustainable Financing Unit for over two decades. Graham began professional career as an Associate Director at Standard Chartered Bank and earlier as a Manager at Lloyds Banking Group. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in French, Spanish, and Linguistics from the University of Southampton.
