Spencer Root

Spencer Root, SHRM-CP, serves as a Program Assistant at the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority since October 2016, co-chairing the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee and contributing to its charter development. Previous experience includes a role as a Business Services Trainee, where assistance was provided for employee travel and recruitment activities. Spencer's background also features teaching dance to preschool and beginner-level children at The Spot, alongside prior roles at CHFA, American Eagle Outfitters, and other companies, which encompassed customer service and administrative tasks. Spencer holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Development from Villanova University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University.
