Anas Afzal

Anas Afzal is an experienced investment professional currently serving as an Investment Manager at Connection Capital LLP since November 2021, previously holding the role of Investment Associate. In this position, Anas focuses on thematic investments in primaries, secondaries, and co-investments across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Debt, and Real Assets. Prior to this, Anas worked as a Fixed Income Analyst at Aberdeen Standard Investments from January 2019 to November 2020, where responsibilities included applying investment management analysis and data science to enhance quantitative portfolio analysis and corporate bond research. Anas also gained experience as a Data Scientist in Open Banking at Experian during a summer internship in 2018, developing Machine Learning models for innovative consumer credit products. Anas holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Financial Technology from Strathclyde Business School and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Aberdeen.
