Christian Winkler is a software developer with extensive experience in risk modeling and portfolio optimization. Christian started their career as a Principal Consultant at Price Waterhouse in 1994 before moving to Zurich Financial Services as a business analytics developer in 1998. In 1999, Christian joined DFA Capital Management where they played a key role in developing ADVISE, an insurance risk modeling software solution. Christian was responsible for implementing Dynamic Financial Analysis using Monte Carlo simulation and was involved in various aspects of the software, including asset and liability modeling, economic scenario generation, and regulatory modeling. When Conning Asset Management acquired DFA Capital Management in 2010, Christian became the Director of Risk Solutions and continued to develop and enhance the ADVISE software suite. Christian also led the development of the Investment Optimizer, a portfolio optimization tool. Christian's expertise lies in risk modeling, software development, and business analytics.
Christian Winkler holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained in 1994. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics at the same university in 1993.
