Danny Barker's work experience begins in 2008 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the UW Department of Medicine. In 2009, they worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Sandia National Laboratories. Barker then joined Intel Corporation in 2010, first as a Graduate Student Intern and later as a Mechanical Engineer. At Intel, they focused on commissioning and improving cleanroom HVAC systems and facilitating technology transfer. In 2013, Barker moved to HP as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they researched and developed inkjet printer products and collaborated with international manufacturing firms. Danny'sresponsibilities included design, testing, manufacturing, and overseeing tooling issues. Since 2021, Barker has been working at Consolidated Metco as a Lead Design Engineer, leading teams in the design development process for heavy truck interiors and traveling for OEM/supplier/plant support and tool trials. Danny has advanced expertise with CATIA V5 software.
Danny Barker holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Danny also earned a Minor in Mathematics during the same period. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington from 2009 to 2010. In 2011, they obtained the Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) certification from the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying.
