Brock Sonnier

Brock Sonnier has a range of work experience in the engineering field. Brock began their career as a Technician at Service Master Clean, where they worked from May 2012 to May 2014, focusing on water, fire, and mold cleaning and restoration.

In 2014, Sonnier joined Bennett Primes, LLC. as a Project Controls Assistant, responsible for project planning and implementation. Brock gained experience in visual inspections, testing measures, and the creation of work scopes. Brock also participated in budget and planning meetings and contributed to the demolition and renovation of structures affected by fire, water, and mold damage.

From 2017 to 2018, Sonnier worked as a Surveying Crew Member at SELLERS AND ASSOCIATES. In this role, they assisted the party chief in conducting daily surveys and learned to locate survey points using GPS tools in various environments.

Starting in 2018, Sonnier served as a Structural Engineering Intern at Loadmaster Industries, where they gained practical experience in the field of structural engineering.

To further their education, Sonnier enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2014. During their time there, they worked as a UL Civil Engineering Student until May 2019. Sonnier also served as a Structural Research Assistant from May 2017 to April 2019.

Most recently, Sonnier joined Huval & Associates, Inc. in June 2019 as a Civil Engineer, EI. Brock held this role for three years, until June 2022, where they worked on various civil engineering projects.

Sonnier plans to continue their engineering career by joining CONSOR Engineers in 2023 as a Bridge Inspection Engineer Assistant.

Brock Sonnier pursued their education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2013 to 2019. During their time there, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering. Additionally, in January 2022, they obtained a certification as a Certified Bridge Inspector from the FHWA National Highway Institute.
