Karina Filipovich

Karina Filipovich's work experience includes being an Engineer in Training at CONSOR Engineers since October 2019. Karina also worked as a Deputy Clerk Specialist for the 2020 General Election at Harris County Clerk in November 2020. Karina interned as a Project & Construction Management Intern at Port Houston from May 2019 to August 2019. Additionally, they served as a Scholars Academy Peer Mentor at the University of Houston-Downtown from August 2018 to May 2019. As a mentor, they supported engineering students by providing guidance on college life, courses, research, and SA requirements, and organized group meetings and outreach activities for the SA group.

Karina Filipovich completed their Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a focus on Structural Analysis and Design at the University of Houston-Downtown from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Architectural Engineering Technology from Lone Star College, graduating in 2017. In addition to their formal education, Karina has acquired various certifications, including a Remote Pilot SUAS Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration in August 2021 and a Python Data Structures certification from Coursera in September 2020. Karina also completed a course titled "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera in May 2020. Karina is an Engineering Intern with the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, having obtained an EIT certification in February 2020. Karina holds certifications as an AutoCAD Certified Professional from Autodesk since May 2018 and as an ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician from the American Concrete Institute since April 2018. Additionally, Karina received a Revit Building Performance Analysis Certificate from Autodesk in 2016, although the month of completion was not specified.
