Jim Rolfes, D.Mgt., has a diverse and extensive work experience in various government agencies. Jim began their career in 1998 as an IRM Advisor and Director IT Incident Command Center at the Bureau of Land Management. Jim then served as the Chief, Division of Architecture, Planning and Investment/ Chief Enterprise Architect at the National Park Service from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2009, Jim was the Manager of the Enterprise Architecture and IT Portfolio Management Division and Chief Enterprise Architect at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Jim also worked at the Office of Management and Budget, where they served as a Senior Policy Analyst for Accountability and Transparency from 2009 to 2009, and as the Program Director for DATA.GOV from 2009 to 2010. Jim then took on the role of Program Director for the Federal Performance Platform from 2010 to 2012. Jim joined the DOI - Department of the Interior in 2009, where they held various positions including Deputy Assoc CIO, Policy, Planning and Compliance, and Director Planning, Portfolio, and Architecture. From 2013 to 2015, they served as the Assistant Commissioner- Executive Director Data Transparency and Deputy Asst Comr Info Services at the United States Department of the Treasury: Bureau of Fiscal Service. Jim's most recent role was as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Data Officer at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a position they held since 2015. Currently, they are (Associate) Chief Information Officer at the Bureau of Land Management, starting in 2022.

Jim Rolfes, D.Mgt. has a diverse and extensive education history. Jim started their journey by earning a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of Maryland in 1998. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 1998 and 2003. Later, they furthered their academic qualifications by obtaining a Doctorate in Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, earned between 2006 and 2010.
