Daniel Taxier is a Mechanical Engineer with significant experience in the consumer product safety and medical device industries. Currently, Daniel serves at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission since September 2019. Prior to this, Daniel worked as a Research Engineer II at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics from September 2015 to April 2019, where responsibilities included developing finite element analysis (FEA) and research protocols, as well as performing product and material analysis. Previous roles include Validation Engineer and Webinar Consultant at PSC Biotech and an Apprentice position at Bergelectric. Daniel holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2014-2015) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine (2007-2011).
