Lauren F. Friedman is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in health and science communication. Currently serving as the Content Development Team Leader for Health & Food and Deputy Editor of Health at Consumer Reports since October 2016, Lauren has also been an Adjunct Lecturer at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism since January 2015, teaching Introduction to Health Journalism. Previous roles include Senior Editor of Science at Business Insider, Staff Editor at Psychology Today, and various freelance writing and editing positions across multiple recognized publications. Lauren's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in health/science from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Art History from Bryn Mawr College.
