Cheryl Kubas

Cheryl Kubas has a diverse and extensive work experience. Cheryl began their career as an HR Generalist and business partner at Aon Hewitt in 1995 and remained in this role until 2011.

In 2012, Cheryl joined Grainger as an Employee Relations Specialist for a short period of time. Later that year, they transitioned to Aon, where they held various roles. Firstly, they served as an HR Connect Consultant, providing consultations on people and HR process related issues. Cheryl also led complex investigations, represented the operations perspective on global project teams, and mentored less experienced HR Connect Consultants.

Cheryl then became an HR Connect Manager, responsible for managing the HR Connect team and facilitating the resolution of HR-related issues. Subsequently, they progressed to become an HR Director, where they joined the business leadership team and partnered with IT leaders and teams on talent strategy for a global function. Cheryl provided leadership on HR programs, such as performance management, talent acquisition, compensation, and organizational change.

In 2017, Cheryl joined Consumers Credit Union in Illinois, where they initially assumed the position of VP Talent. In this role, they developed and implemented the corporate HR strategy and programs, and served as a confidante to the CEO in driving the company culture and talent development. Later, they were promoted to Chief People Officer, responsible for leadership and coordination of the CCU Talent Management and HR function. This position allowed their to further contribute to the company's strategic and competitive advantage.

Cheryl Kubas pursued their undergraduate education at the University of Iowa from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. In terms of additional certifications, they have achieved a Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification from Prosci in September 2022. Cheryl has also earned a Diversity and Inclusion certification from Cornell University, although the specific details of when they obtained this certification are unknown.
