Mark Eddleston

Mark Eddleston is an experienced professional in polymer and pharmaceutical chemistry, currently serving as a Project Manager and Senior Project Leader at Contamac Ltd since 2015, where responsibilities include the development of innovative polymeric materials for contact lenses, notably the launch of Optimum Infinite. Previously, Mark held roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université Lille-1 and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, focusing on polymer stabilization of pharmaceuticals and investigating chemical degradation processes. Earlier experience includes a position as Project Scientist at SAFC Pharmorphix, where a variety of solid-state chemistry projects were completed, and as Product Development Scientist at AstraZeneca, where formulations were optimized for clinical trials. Mark Eddleston holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield.
