Nigel Chivers

Nigel Chivers is a seasoned professional in engineering and product development, currently operating as a self-employed Global Engineer since January 2017, focusing on international building development with a keen emphasis on practicality and sustainability. As Product Development Manager at Continental Disc Corporation since 2012, Nigel has played a pivotal role in the successful launch of new products and processes through collaboration with senior leadership and comprehensive testing and training initiatives. Prior experience includes a tenure at Mahle from 1998 to 2012, where Nigel served as Principal Engineer in Research and Development for steel and alloy products and led an Engineering department of 80 employees as Engineering and Quality Manager, managing significant capital expenditures and regulatory collaborations. Nigel holds an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick.
