Derrick Frailing

Derrick Frailing has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Derrick'smost recent position was as the Director of Category Management at Continental since May 2022. In this role, they implemented retail merchandising plans across multiple locations and ensured consistent customer service standards through coaching and training. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager of Merchandising and Operations at Continental, where they successfully grew beverage and fresh pastry categories through strategic merchandising displays and training.

Before joining Continental, Derrick held a position at Kroger as an Assistant Merchandising Manager from March 2017 to April 2018. Derrick also gained experience in the retail industry at CVS Health, where they served as a Store Manager and later as a Store Manager In Training from February 2014 to March 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Commercial Loan Officer and Marketing Coordinator at The Miners State Bank from July 2013 to February 2014.

Derrick's earliest work experience was at Sam's Club, where they held the role of Marketing Coordinator from February 2012 to January 2013. Prior to that, they were a Mobile Sales Associate from November 2010 to February 2012. In this role, they consistently achieved top sales rankings and demonstrated extensive knowledge in mobile promotions.

Throughout their career, Derrick has demonstrated expertise in category management, merchandising, marketing, and sales.

Derrick Frailing pursued their education with dedication and obtained multiple degrees and certifications. Derrick began their academic journey in 2008 at Gogebic Community College, where they earned an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration in 2010. Seeking further knowledge and opportunities, Derrick enrolled at Central Michigan University in 2011. Over a period of two years, they immersed himself in various areas of study, including Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics Management, and Communications, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 2013.

In addition to their degrees, Derrick also obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. In 2011, they acquired a Commercial Drivers License from the State of Michigan, demonstrating their proficiency in operating commercial vehicles. More recently, in March 2020, Derrick completed the Excel 2016 Essential Training certification from LinkedIn, emphasizing their expertise in utilizing Excel for business-related tasks. These certifications showcase their commitment to continuous learning and their eagerness to excel in diverse professional domains.
