Rachel Murphy

Rachel Murphy is a seasoned professional in water management and engineering, currently serving as the Director at the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies since September 2024. Rachel has cumulative experience at the Contra Costa Water District since February 2008, where roles have included General Manager, Assistant General Manager for Engineering and O&M, and Director of Engineering. Rachel also holds a directorship with the California African American Water Education Foundation since September 2022 and previously worked as City Engineer/Engineering Services Manager in Walnut Creek from 1996 to 2007.
