Adam Kay

Adam Kay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Adam is currently working as a Software Engineer at ControlZee since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Jelli, Inc. from 2012 onwards, initially as a Software Engineer, then as a Senior Software Engineer, and eventually as a Software Engineering Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Team Lead. At Jelli, Inc., they led a distributed frontend software development team and served as a technical project lead on various initiatives while also making significant contributions as an individual contributor to flagship products.

Before their time at Jelli, Inc., Adam worked at Paragon Studios (a division of NCsoft) as an Audio Director from February 2009 to November 2012. Adam was responsible for the Audio Department and played a key role in the development of a procedural online game. Adam also enhanced the audio tools for the City of Heroes MMORPG.

Prior to that, Adam served as an Audio Director at Midway Games from September 2005 to February 2009. Adam managed the audio department for an unannounced project and led a team responsible for systemic sound design. Adam also provided sound design and consultation for TNA: Total Non-stop Action Wrestling.

Adam's career in the entertainment industry includes roles such as Sound Designer at Inevitable Entertainment and Soundelux, Music Editor at Freelance / Modern Music (a division of Soundelux), Pro Tools Support Engineer at Modern Music (a division of Soundelux), and Sound Designer/Field Recordist/Editor at The Hollywood Edge (a division of Soundelux). Adam has worked on various sound-related projects and films during this period.

Adam also has experience outside the entertainment industry as they served as the Site Operations Manager at The Charles Ives Center for the Performing Arts, where they oversaw day-to-day operations and artist relations for an outdoor concert venue.

Adam Kay attended SUNY Oneonta from 1991 to 1992, where they pursued a degree in Liberal Arts. After one year, they transferred to the University of Southern California and studied there from 1992 to 1995, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Music Recording.
