Abed Benaichouche, Ph.D

Abed Benaichouche, Ph.D has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Abed is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Convergaince, a position they have held since April 2022. Abed is also serving as a Strategy Advisor at Annex Investments and Rental Shield, starting in October 2022 and September 2022, respectively.

Prior to their current roles, Abed was the Co-Founder and CTO of AIQ from November 2020 to March 2022. Abed also served as the CTO of G42 from April 2018 to March 2022. During their time at the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence, they held the position of Co-Founder and Head of Engineering from April 2018 to May 2019.

Before entering the technology sector, Abed worked in the field of applied mathematics. Abed was a Lead Data Scientist at BRGM from January 2016 to May 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at TotalEnergies from October 2013 to December 2015. Abed began their professional career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at MINES ParisTech from November 2012 to October 2013.

Abed's academic journey started at Andra - Agence nationale pour la gestion des déchets radioactifs, where they were a PHD Candidate in applied mathematics from October 2009 to October 2012. Abed Benaichouche, Ph.D has a strong educational background. Abed started their academic journey in 2005 at Ecole Nationale Polytechnique where they pursued general studies in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2008, Abed Benaichouche went on to earn a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision from Université d'Évry in 2009. Later, they continued their education at Mines Paris and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Abed Benaichouche has also obtained certifications to further enhance their expertise. In 2010, they completed an ArcGIS training program offered by Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc (ESRI), France. This certification provided him with valuable skills in geographic information systems (GIS). Furthermore, in 2015, they obtained the MOOC Oil & Gas Achievement Certificate from IFP School, which bolstered their knowledge in the oil and gas industry.
