Steve Murfitt

Steve Murfitt has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Steve currently holds the position of Senior Analytics Architect at Converge Technology Solutions Corp. which they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Business Analytics Consultant at the same company from June 2022 to June 2023.

Before joining Converge Technology Solutions Corp., Steve worked at insightsoftware as the Director of Customer Solutions and Services from September 2018 to June 2022. Steve'srole involved delivering applications with analytics at their core, specifically with the Logi developer grade analytics platform.

At Logi Analytics, an insightsoftware company, Steve served as a Senior Technical Account Manager from September 2018 to October 2021. In this role, they provided technical account management to clients.

Steve also worked at Nielsen as the Director of Technology from May 2017 to August 2018. Steve was part of the Retail Analytics platform team, where they focused on understanding customer data needs, optimizing data storage, and facilitating data access.

Prior to that, Steve held the position of Director of Technology Alliances at HP Vertica from May 2013 to May 2017. Steve'sresponsibilities included leading the HP Vertica Ecosystem team, working with technology partner products to ensure their compatibility and optimization with the Vertica platform.

Steve's career journey also includes positions at IBM, where they served as a Technical Sales Enablement Specialist from October 2011 to May 2013, and as a Strategic Project Advisor from December 2005 to November 2011.

Steve was the Founder and COO of BI Inform from October 2003 to December 2005. In this role, they focused on business intelligence services.

Steve's experience also includes working at CODA Financials as a BI Manager from 1997 to 2003. Initially, they worked as part of the Business Intelligence services team, focusing on financial reporting and analysis. Later, they joined the presales team to assist in the sales process and events. During this period, they supported Latin American resellers as well.

During their early career, Steve worked as a BI Consultant at Cognos from 1994 to 1997. Steve was responsible for designing and developing business intelligence solutions and management information systems for various UK-based Cognos customers.

Steve started their career at Venners Computer Systems as a Development Manager from May 1992 to May 1994. In this role, they were responsible for the design and development of software solutions for the leisure and hospitality industries.

Overall, Steve has consistently held roles related to data analytics, business intelligence, technology alliances, and technical account management throughout their career.

Steve Murfitt attended Brunel University London from 1982 to 1985, where they studied Mathematics/Computer Science. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications from Alteryx in May 2023, including Alteryx Designer Core Certification, Alteryx Designer Core Micro- Credential: Data Preparation, Alteryx Designer Core Micro-Credential: Data Manipulation, Alteryx Designer Core Micro-Credential: Data Transformation, and Alteryx Designer Core Micro-Credential: General Knowledge.
