Sharleen Yan

Sharleen Yan has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Sharleen began their career as an Administrative Assistant at J.A Brown & Associates, where they provided administrative support and improved the filing system. Sharleen then worked at ZARA SA as a Sales Associate and was later promoted to the position of Signer, where they supported store operations and led sales floor supervision. At Nordstrom, they held multiple roles, including Luxury Accessories Sales Associate, Chanel Sunglasses Specialist, and Assistant Department Manager. In these roles, they designed marketing campaigns, merchandised sales floors, improved customer satisfaction, and collaborated with cross-functional teams. Currently, they are working as a UX/UI Designer at Convergence starting in 2023.

Sharleen Yan completed their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Asian Studies at The University of British Columbia from 2013 to 2018. In 2016, they also participated in an exchange program at Korea University, studying Political Science and Asian Studies. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Google UX Design Specialization from Coursera in May 2022. As for their future education, they plan to pursue Graphic Design at the BCIT School of Business + Media starting in 2023.
