Vigneshwar Ravisankar

Vigneshwar Ravisankar has a range of work experience in various engineering roles. Vigneshwar worked as a Research Engineer at Convergent Science, where they focused on CFD modeling and development of flow dynamics and heat transfer in various industrial and academic applications. Vigneshwar also developed User-Defined Functions for fluid-structure interaction and conducted studies on external aerodynamics.

At the University of Florida, Vigneshwar served as a Volunteer Research Assistant, developing a 2D in-compressible Navier-Stokes Solver using Immersed Boundary Method for moving bodies. Vigneshwar also worked as an Undergraduate Student Grader, assisting in grading assignments and helping students with their course work.

Vigneshwar worked as an Assistant Manager at Hero MotoCorp Ltd, where they were responsible for vehicle durability and special testing. Vigneshwar validated the structural strength of components and performed life estimation of test samples based on periodic monitoring and previous data.

As a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Vigneshwar designed and validated a multi-grid algorithm in C++. Vigneshwar also improved solver efficiency through parallel processing.

Additionally, they completed internships at DELPHI-TVS Diesel Systems Limited and Nissan-Ashok Leyland Tech JV Ltd., where they gained experience in product testing and product data management, respectively.

Vigneshwar Ravisankar holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, which they obtained from the University of Florida between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in Varanasi, from 2010 to 2014. Their high school education was completed at P.S.B.B.S.S.School from 1999 to 2010, earning him a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Additionally, Vigneshwar has acquired certifications in Scientific Computing from the University of Florida in May 2018, Sports and Building Aerodynamics from Eindhoven University of Technology (Honour Code Certificate, Coursera) in October 2015, and Turbo machinery Aerodynamics from Prof. A M Pradeep & Prof. Bhaskar Roy at IIT Bombay (NPTEL) in August 2013.
