Weitao Sun has diverse work experience primarily in the field of engineering and research. Weitao started working as a Grader at the University of Michigan College of Engineering in January 2017 and worked in this role until April 2017. In May 2017, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University for a three-month period. Weitao then returned to the University of Michigan College of Engineering and worked as a Research Assistant from January 2018 to August 2019, focusing on the study of Neural-Network-Reduced-Order Modeling with SINDy under the guidance of Prof. Karthik Duraisamy. Currently, since September 2019, Weitao Sun is employed as a Developer at Convergent Science. With their diverse experiences, Weitao Sun has developed a strong skill set in engineering and research.
Weitao Sun began their education at Xinjiang Bingtuan No.2 Middle School from 2010 to 2013, where they completed their high school education. Weitao then enrolled at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Michigan College of Engineering from 2015 to 2017, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (B.S.E.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2019, they concurrently pursued two Master's degree programs: one at the University of Michigan College of Engineering specializing in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, and another at the University of Michigan, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Mathematics.
