Yu Zhang

YU ZHANG has a diverse work experience in research and engineering roles. They are currently a Senior Research Engineer at Convergent Science since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Engineer at the same company from January 2021 to May 2022. Before joining Convergent Science, YU ZHANG served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from February 2015 to May 2020. They also gained experience as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2010 to May 2012.

YU ZHANG completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2014 to 2020. During this time, YU ZHANG also obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the same institution, spanning from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this, YU ZHANG pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University between 2010 and 2012. YU ZHANG's undergraduate education was undertaken at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, YU ZHANG simultaneously completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General during the same period at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
