Lienne Medford

Dean of Education & Graduate Studies at Converse College

Lienne Medford received her BA in Comparative Literature from Hamilton College, her MA in English from UNC-Chapel Hill, and her EdD in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University. For the last 16 years, she taught at Clemson University, where she also served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School. She currently serves as the Association for Middle Level Education’s national accreditation coordinator and as a CAEP Board of Visitors member. She has been recognized by the National Association of Professors of Middle Level Education as Outstanding Professor for 2016-17. She has been awarded more than two million dollars in grants from the National Science Foundation.

Lienne lives in Duncan with her husband, Glenn. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading, and gardening.
