Malte Petersen

Malte Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Malte is currently the founder of people pioneers, a company they established in 2023. Prior to this, they founded and served as the managing partner of Conves GmbH, which focused on consulting, tech, and entrepreneurship. Malte also worked as the Head of Strategy, People, and Operations at Thinksurance from 2021 to 2022.

Before these roles, Malte worked as an independent management consultant and an Airbus A320 pilot at Lufthansa. Malte also held the position of Senior Director Operational Excellence at Lufthansa Group, where they led a team and focused on operational improvement initiatives. Malte began their career at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, primarily working on transportation consulting projects.

Earlier in their career, Malte worked at Spairliners GmbH as a Project Manager, where they implemented business processes and coordinated migration projects. Malte also served as a Cooperation Manager at Lufthansa Technik Switzerland, where they managed strategic projects and led a change process between Lufthansa Technik and Swiss Airlines. Malte started their professional journey as a Technic Student at Lufthansa Technik, gaining experience through various assignments in different departments within the Lufthansa Group.

Malte Petersen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from HSBA Hamburg School of Business Administration, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. Malte then pursued a Master of Philosophy degree in Innovation, Strategy, and Organisation from the University of Cambridge in 2010 and 2011. In addition, they also completed a Multi Crew Pilot Licence from Lufthansa Flight Training between 2011 and 2013.
