Ashutosh Modi

Dr. Ashutosh Modi is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, since October 2019, following a postdoctoral role at Disney Research in both Los Angeles and Pittsburgh from October 2017 to October 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a postdoctoral researcher and researcher at the Cluster of Excellence MMCI, Saarland University, from June 2011 to October 2017, and as a research scientist at Siemens, where work focused on integrating medical images and text for health analytics using deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing. Dr. Modi's earlier career includes a position as a software engineer at Symantec from July 2007 to September 2009. Dr. Modi earned a PhD in Computer Science from Universität des Saarlandes, an M.Tech in Telecom Technology and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia.
