Alex Williams has worked in the communications and media industry since 2010. In 2010, they began their career as a Reporter at KSBI-TV. In 2011, they moved to News Corp as a Producer. In 2012, they worked as a Part-time Reporter/Photographer at GateHouse Media. In 2013, they worked as an Anchor/Reporter/Producer at Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. In 2015, they joined COUNTRY Financial® as a Public Relations Specialist. In 2018, they worked as a Communications Strategist at the Illinois Senate Republican Caucus. In 2019, they worked as a Communications Representative at Caterpillar Inc. In 2020, they worked as a Communications Specialist at the City of Peoria, Illinois. In 2021, they worked as a Content Strategist at Simantel. Currently, they are employed as a Promotions Manager at Convr.

Alex Williams obtained a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Illinois State University and a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from University of Illinois Springfield. Additionally, they obtained a Foundations of Project Management certification from Coursera | Google in January of 2023.
