Dhaval Patel has an extensive work experience in the field of validation and process engineering. Dhaval started their career as a student at Stevens from January 2009 to December 2010. Dhaval then worked as a Validation Engineer at Boehringer Ingelheim from April 2012 to June 2014. After that, they worked at Neutrogena as a Validation Consultant from June 2014 to September 2014, where they focused on validating the new CIP system and resolving technical issues. Dhaval then joined Cody Laboratories, Inc. as a Validation Engineer from October 2014 to September 2016, where they played a role in setting up the pilot plant and implementing lean manufacturing.
In 2016, Dhaval joined Cook MyoSite as a Validation Specialist, responsible for validating biopharmaceutical processes, writing SOPs, and assisting in system requirements. Dhaval was then promoted to Validation Manager from March 2017 to March 2018, where they supervised a team of validation engineers and oversaw qualification and validation plans. Dhaval further progressed to the role of Technical Services Manager from April 2018 to August 2018, managing process engineers and validation engineers and developing departmental strategies. Finally, they became the Senior Technical Services Manager from September 2018 to December 2021, where they focused on developing and maintaining process engineering, validation, and risk management programs for efficient manufacturing processes. As of December 2021, Dhaval holds the position of Director of Technical Services at Cook MyoSite, where they direct manufacturing process improvement projects and ensures engineering improvements are aligned with electronic systems compatibility.
Dhaval Patel completed their Master of Science (MS) in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing from Stevens Institute of Technology in the year 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree in Pharmacy from Ganpat University in the year 2008. In addition to their formal degree education, Dhaval Patel has acquired several certifications over the years, including certifications in Data Analysis for Management, Quality Risk Management, Six Sigma Champion Certified, Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional, Change Management Specialist (CMS), Design for Six Sigma Certified, Six Sigma Green Belt Certified, Six Sigma Lean Professional (SSLP), and Validation and Regulatory Affairs. Dhaval obtained these certifications from institutions such as The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), PDA - Parenteral Drug Association, and the Management and Strategy Institute, with varying years of completion ranging from 2011 to 2021.
