Michelle Virgo

Michelle Virgo serves as the People and Operations Manager at the Cooperative AI Foundation since March 2023, previously holding the position of Director at Plymouth Social Enterprise Network from 2011 to June 2023, where strategic direction and project delivery established Plymouth as the UK's first social enterprise city. Additionally, Michelle led the Entrepreneurship Support programmes at the School for Social Entrepreneurs from January 2022 to March 2023, fostering team culture during a transformative period. Extensive experience as a facilitator, researcher, and development worker includes contributions to sustainability initiatives across the UK, Canada, and Europe, and engagement with various organizations to enhance social enterprise visibility. Educationally, Michelle holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of East Anglia.
