Ramesh Divakar has a strong background in research and development, with extensive experience in the ceramics industry. Ramesh began their career at The Carborundum Company in 1988, where they worked as a Sr. Research Associate for eight years. In 1996, they joined Saint-Gobain and held various roles including Group Leader, Director of Semiconductor Products Worldwide, Director of Technology in the Structural Ceramics Group, Business Manager for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells, Director of Business Development for Specialty Products, and finally as the Technology, Development & Engineering Director for the Advanced Ceramics Division. In 2011, Ramesh transitioned to CoorsTek, Inc. and held the positions of Director of R&D and Senior Director of R&D. Throughout their career, Ramesh has been dedicated to innovation and leading teams in developing cutting-edge ceramic technologies.
Ramesh Divakar holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from The Ohio State University, which they earned from 1983 to 1987. Prior to that, from 1981 to 1983, they obtained a Master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the same university. Ramesh Divakar's educational journey began at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from 1976 to 1981.
