Allene Vo is an undergraduate researcher at the Whiteson Lab at UCI School of Biological Sciences, focusing on bacteriophage therapy to address antibiotic resistance in Cystic Fibrosis patients, supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the American Cancer Society. In addition, Allene serves as a Health Scholar at Hoag Presbyterian Hospital, assisting healthcare staff, and holds the position of pianist for the children's Sunday service at The First Church of Christ, Scientist. Previously, Allene was a Junior Academy Young Member at The New York Academy of Sciences, engaging in global STEM problem-solving, and co-founded the Girls in STEM Club at Mater Dei High School. A classically trained pianist for over a decade, Allene is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at UC Irvine, with plans to study abroad in Physics at the University of Sussex.
