Laurel Lam has a wide range of work experience. Laurel began their career in 2012 as a Case Management and Front Desk Volunteer at Alhambra Hospital Medical Center. In 2013, they worked as an Orthopedics & Podiatry Intern at Kaiser Permanente and as a Store Associate at Rite Aid. Laurel also worked as a Server at Tomomi Sushi. In 2013, they began working at COPE Health Solutions as an Assistant Director of Departments (POD1), Clinical Care Extender, Medical Surgical Department Coordinator, and Recruitment & Training Coordinator. In 2015, they were a BUILD Scholar at the National Institutes of Health and a Peer Mentor at CSULB College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. In 2018, they began working at Kite Pharma as a Cell Therapy Specialist.
Laurel Lam attended Alhambra High School from 2009 to 2013 and subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from California State University, Long Beach in 2018. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including Biohazardous Materials and Bloodborne Pathogen Training, Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) CITI, CPR from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, Basic First Aid from the American Safety & Health Institute, CPR and AED from the American Safety & Health Institute, and California Food Handler from ANSI.
