Mike Spangler attended Loyola Marymount University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). In 2012, they attended Baruch College and studied Physics and Ecology. In 2013, they attended the Flatiron School and obtained a Web Development Immersive degree. In 2017, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance.
