Dr. Newton is a discipleship-focused church entrepreneur. He has planted and pastored a house church in Salem, Oregon and collaborated with other area church planters to reach the unchurched of Salem. His doctoral research focused on the discipleship of college students and how discipling relationships effect spiritual growth. Jordan is also globally focused and experienced, having lived in Mexico out of high school, recently teaching with Corban’s Africa Training Partnership in Cameroon, moving to Papua, Indonesia in 2020, and is drawn to investing in the global church. While in Papua, Jordan oversaw spiritual formation, student life, and all academic programs for Papua Hope Language Institute as its Chief Program Officer.
